Too good to be true
When I first saw this object for so cheap I thought it was a steal! Items from this area are so rare to find. Most items came from one dig but I thought maybe this one came from a smaller dig or was just recently discovered. Now I realize I have been duped. This ceramic bull is probably a fake. It’s just too similar to one that sold at an art auction the same year I bought it. And that one sold for way more than I paid. I was stupefied! These bulls would have all been different because they came from different artists. So how is it this gallery managed to get one that’s almost exactly the same for such a drop in price? My thought is they saw the one at auction and decided to make a replica.
