Stephanie Santana, a New York-based artist whose work explores mythologies, navigational tools and resistance strategies within the Black diasporan experience, will lead a workshop in which participants will develop quilt-inspired mixed-media collages rooted in memory and personal narrative and inspired by bell hooks’ essay, “Piecing it All Together.” The workshop is co-sponsored by the bell hooks center and the Doris Ulmann Galleries and is a part of the annual bell hooks Artist Residency program. This event is made possible in part to generously supported with funding from Art Bridges.
