This collection of work communicates the incommunicable and deeply personal. The heavy symbolism deep dives into my experience with mental illness and trauma,  struggling to heal and find an identity. Each piece is altered with different media and all together the glitter, neon drawings, and collaging add emotional complexity to the prints. This collection challenges the viewer into big and uncomfortable feelings to self-examine their own ideas of trauma and mental illness.

The mutating and stylized wolf is a symbol of “Trauma Brain” and mental health problem mentalities. The wolf experiences extreme emotional swings and is continually disgusted with itself as it figures out what it is while experiencing day to day human things. The text is a myriad of reflections and comments, drawing from “punk philosophy” and the struggle of expressing oneself. The bird is a symbol of the journey of healing and the next step in this narrative to show hope to many others experiencing the same things.
