Leslie Smith & Katie Wigglesworth: Unusual Care

“Leslie Smith & Katie Wigglesworth: Unusual Care” presents a collaborative body of work by printmaker and book artist Leslie Smith and textile artist Katie Wigglesworth. Made in response to research they completed at The Penland School of Craft about settlement schools and the revival of craft, the artworks featured in this exhibition investigate the great leap it takes both to start a craft school and be an artist in difficult times. This exhibition will be on view through March 24, and Smith and Wigglesworth will be giving an artist talk in the Upper Traylor Gallery at 3:00 on Tuesday, March 21.
